Museum of Scotland

In 1991 architects Benson + Forsyth were selected as winners of the architectural competition to design the new Museum of Scotland .

The Granton Centre - Edinburgh

The Granton Centre is the major store for the National Museums of Scotland. Discover thousands of weird and wonderful objects all under one roof! Important conservation work is carried out, preparing many of these items for display in our six museums across Scotland. You can also find out about the Centre's vital role in saving scientific evidence for research. The Granton Centre is open for guided tours every Tuesday at 10.30am and 2pm. Visits must be booked at least a day in advance. There is ample free parking. There is a level entrance. A wheelchair is available for loan at no charge. Floors are accessible by lift. There is an adapted toilet. Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs are admitted.

Melville Golf Centre - Lasswade

Our 9 hole "pay and play" course has been designedfor beginners as well as the hardiest of golfers. With its combination of twisting fairways and strategically placed bunkers and greens makes for a 9 hole course with the big 18 hole feel. The course offers all the enjoyment and challenge that will stretch your knowledge of the limits of the game. It is particularly suitable for the ladies as it needs a degree of skill. All visitors welcome. You'll find our floodlit driving range to be more than convenient with it's spacious bays & cleverly placed targets.

Edinburgh Playhouse

The Edinburgh Playhouse is a former cinema in Edinburgh Centre in Scotland which now hosts touring music and musical concerts. Its capacity is 3,059, Stalls: 1,519, Balcony: 860 and Circle: 680 making it the largest UK’s working theatre in terms of audience capacity.

Edinburgh Castle

When the Picts built a fort on a volcanic crag in the 5th century, to protect Scotland from the invading Angles of Northumberland, Edinburgh's history began. The present Castle, was built on the site by Michael Canmore (1057-93); his wife St. Margaret, built the chapel which you can still visit today.
