  The Rosehall is a small private hotel situated in the south side of the city
  centre.  The atmosphere is one of comfort and relaxation and the aim of
  the resident owners is to make their guests feel welcome and at home
  whilst at the same time offering high standards of quality and attention.

  The Hotel is conveniently located on the A7 road, 1½ miles south of

  find us.  Immediately to hand are Holyrood Park with its famous Royal
  Palace, the Scottish Parliament building, the Royal Commonwealth Pool,
  Prestonfield Golf Club (several other golf clubs nearby) and the University
  Conference Centre at Pollock Halls.  The Royal College of Surgeons is 10
  minutes' walk away and Edinburgh's historic Royal Mile is a 15 minute
  walk away.  Unrestricted street parking is available near the hotel.

  Within easy travelling distance are some of Scotland's finest golf courses, including
  Gleneagles and the Open Championship courses at St. Andrews, Muirfield and Carnoustie.
  Hillwalkers, sea fisherman and anglers are attracted to the local countryside and two of
  Scotland's finest salmon rivers, the Tay and the Tweed are only an hour's drive away.

  Edinburgh is the jewel in Scotland's crown, with its many facets: classical architecture,
  sweeping Georgian crescents, medieval alleyways, green parks and of course Edinburgh's
  best known and most popular visitor attraction, The Castle, where you can see the ancient
  crown jewels and from where you have a magnificent panoramic view of the city and its
  surroundings.

  The Festival season is in August. At this time the Castle esplanade in the venue for the world
  famous Military Tattoo when performers from around the world host a lively programme of
  musical entertainment.

  Edinburgh is a city best seen on foot. On leaving the Castle esplanade you can easily walk
  down the historic Royal Mile leading to the Royal residence of Holyrood Palace, visiting the
  many small museums, shops and places of interest along the way.

  At night Edinburgh comes alive with its profusion of pubs, restaurants, theatres and
  nightclubs.
